Alachua says goodbye to the Rev. Gerald Criswell, Alachuas first black commissioner, mayor

ALACHUA – A moment of silence was observed at Monday’s City Commission meeting in Alachua for the Rev. Gerald Criswell, 74, a lifelong Alachua resident, community leader and political pioneer, who passed away Sunday, Feb. 21.
